Create and Edit Text Boxes

Updated this week

Text Boxes save reusable text styles to keep books consistent. Create them org-wide in the Admin Console or per project for a single book.

Create a Text Box in the Admin Console

  1. Open Admin Console and go to Book Themes.

  2. Select the Text tab on the left.

  3. Click + to create a new Text Box or drag an existing style (such as Default) onto a page to start editing.

If you are using a theme with pre-built styles, you will see them listed here. You can drag any style onto the canvas to edit or reuse it.

Edit Text on the Canvas

  1. Select the Text Box on your page.

  2. Use the toolbar at the top to adjust font, size, color, spacing, line height, alignment, or other formatting.

  3. Make any changes you want reflected in your new or updated style.

Save or Update a Text Box Style

When a style has been changed, an asterisk appears next to its name in the top toolbar.

To save your edits:

  • Select Update to replace the existing Text Box style with your changes

    or

  • Select + Style to save your edits as a new Text Box style

Name the style and click Create. Your new Text Box will now appear in the list on the left for use in any page of that theme.

Using Text Boxes Inside a Project

You can also create Text Boxes inside an individual project:

  • Open any page in your Design Book

  • Click the Elements tab on the left

  • Select the Text tab to create or drag styles onto your canvas

Text Boxes created at the project level are only available inside that book.

Styles created in the Admin Console are available org wide.
