Dynamic Fields

Updated this week

Dynamic Fields automatically pull project data into your book, keeping details like names and page numbers up to date without manual edits.

Examples of Dynamic Fields:

  • Page number

  • Project name

  • Project address

  • Client name

If you change any of these details in your project settings or adjust your Book Layout, every Dynamic Field in the book will refresh automatically.

Add a Dynamic Field

  1. Open any page in your Design Book.

  2. In the left panel, select Elements, then choose Fields.

  3. Drag a field onto the canvas.

Once placed, the field will immediately display the correct information for that project or page.

Edit a Dynamic Field Style

  1. Select the field on the canvas.

  2. Use the toolbar at the top of the screen to change font, size, spacing, color, or alignment.

  3. To make this style the default for all fields in the book, open the style dropdown at the top and select Update.

Your updated style will now apply automatically to any Dynamic Field you add to the canvas.

Why Use Dynamic Fields

Dynamic Fields help keep books accurate and consistent without extra work:

  • Page numbers adjust when pages are added, removed, or reordered

  • Project details stay synced automatically

  • Templates remain reusable across projects without manual cleanup

They are ideal for covers, footers, index pages, and any element that requires project-specific information.
