The efficiently Catalog contains over 5 million items, maintained by our dedicated catalog team. Your org can also create custom items, which appear only within your organization’s catalog.
In this module we’ll learn how to Add your own items and search the Catalog effectively.
Catalog Structure
All catalog items are organized by Division and Type:
Division is the broad category (e.g., Appliances, Furnishings, Lighting, Plumbing).
Type is the specific item group within that Division (e.g., Dishwasher, Coffee Table, Chandelier, Bathtub).
Sub-Type adds another layer of refinement for certain items. For example, Round is a subtype for coffee table


Adding Items to the Catalog
There are two ways to add items to the Catalog:
Directly inside the platform
Using the Clipp’d Chrome Plugin (recommended for fastest item clipping)
Manually add Items to the Catalog
Step By Step Guide
Go to the Catalog tab and select Add Item.
Choose the Division and Type, then enter item details and images.
By default, items are added to the Org Catalog.
To save an item to a specific project list, select the project at the top under Save to Org or Project.
Click Add Item.
If the Manufacturer or Supplier doesn’t exist yet, select Create New when prompted.
The new item will now appear in your catalog with an orange circle icon in the corner of the item image, indicating it was added by someone in your org. Items without this icon are added and maintained by the efficiently catalog team.

In the Catalog tab, click Add Item, then
If you haven’t already installed the Chrome extension, select Get it now to download it.
Mac users: Pin the extension using the puzzle icon in your browser toolbar.
Navigate to any supplier or manufacturer website and click the Clipp’d extension icon.
The plugin will open on the right side of your screen.
Any field inside the plugin with a capture icon can be filled automatically, click the icon, then click the matching detail on the website.
For example, click inside the image field in the plugin, then click the product image on the website to capture it.
Click Add Item.
The item will appear in your catalog with an orange circle icon, showing it was added by someone in your org.
Searching the Catalog
The Catalog can be accessed from the top navigation or within a project.
Type in the search field to find items by name or keyword. To refine results, select a Division and Type from the dropdown.
Use the Sort By filter to display results by Relevant or Recents, depending on your preference.
