Design.efficiently isn’t just about stunning presentation - it’s about building structure. In this module, you’ll learn how to create a fully connected schedule of rooms, spaces, areas and item locations that drive your design book, procurement list, and installer documentation.

A quick overview of Terminology we use:

  • Room: Pretty self explanatory.

  • Space: An space inside a room that usually has walls and elevations.

  • Area: An area inside a Room/Space

  • Location: A Location where an Item is located.

In the example above.

  • The Room: Primary Bathroom has four Spaces inside it.

  • Spaces:

    • The Primary Space - Primary Bathroom - 118

    • The Shower - 115

    • The W/C - 116

    • The W.I.C - 114

  • Area:

    • In the Primary Bathroom Space you could create an Area and group up the 'Vanity', this would include the Cabinet, Countertop, Backsplash. Sink and Faucet.

  • Locations:

    • In the W/C for example you would have

      • Toilet

      • Floor

      • Wall

      • Base (maybe(

      • Ceiling

This will become very apparent to you as you use Design.efficiently.
