Topics covered in this article:

Division

Divisions are the larger category that a group of items falls within, such as Appliances, Finishes, Lighting, and Plumbing.

Type

Within a Division, items are broken down further into Type, such as Dishwasher (Division - Appliances), Tile (Division - Finishes), Chandelier (Division - Lighting), or Bathtub (Division - Plumbing).

Sub-Type

Sub-types add a more granular layer to the categorization of an item. For example, a Division and Type of Lighting and Chandelier, may have a Sub-type of Candle, Empire, Shaded, and so on.

Note: Sub-type is optional during the search process, but it can be used to narrow down your search further. Sub-type is also optional when adding an item to the Catalog or to your Schedule.

Search Filters

After choosing the Division and Type, additional filter options will be enabled on the left of the screen. Filter options help you to narrow down your search.

The list of filter options changes based on the Division and Type that you choose.
