Welcome to the next step in mastering the design process—Locations.

Why Locations Matter

Item IDs are powerful—but locations are where project-specific details live.

Each Item ID is linked multiple locations (e.g., a toilet in multiple bathrooms), but the Location stores what makes each location unique.

For example:

  • A showerhead may have a different mounting height in each bathroom

  • A tile might follow a different layout direction in each space

That’s why location-specific details should be stored at the location level - not the ID.

At each location, you can store:

  • A specification image

  • An option Image

  • A document (like an install sketch or markup)

  • Location notes

  • Installation notes

This gives your team and installers the clarity they need - right where it matters.
