Uploading Plans & Managing Plan Sets

Updated this week

The Plans view is where your project takes shape.

Upload key drawings like Construction or design sets, then use them to measure spaces, create rooms, and define locations.

By linking plans to locations, you can assign items accurately and keep everything connected in one place — ensuring the team works from the same, up-to-date information.

Uploading construction plan sets

This phase is about getting drawings into the system correctly

Uploading Plans

  1. Go to the Plans tab
Open your project and select Plans.

  2. Choose the plan set type
Select Construction, Interior, or Design Sets.
This determines how the plans will function in the project.

  3. Upload your file
Drag and drop a PDF into the upload area or select Upload from your computer.
    Plans must be PDF format.

  4. Allow processing to complete
Large files may take a few moments.

  5. Auto-name pages (optional)
Follow the auto-naming prompts, or skip and return later using the three dots (⋮) → Auto name pages.

Set/Reset Plan Scale

You can set the scale on any plan page or recalibrate it if the scale needs to be updated. Once the scale is set, the Measure tool becomes available for pulling accurate dimensions directly from your plans.

Set Plan Scale

If a plan does not have a scale assigned—or if you need to confirm the correct scale—you can set or calibrate it manually.

  1. Open the Plans tab and upload your plan set if you haven’t already.

  2. Click into any plan page and select Set plan scale.

  3. Choose a scale from the dropdown if you know it or select Calibrate to set it manually.

  4. Once saved, use the Measure tool along the right side of the screen to pull dimensions.

Reset Plan Scale

  1. Navigate to the Plans tab and open the Construction Set. Select the page that needs its scale updated.

  2. Click the current Scale indicator at the top of the screen.

  3. Select Reset main scale.

  4. Choose a new scale or calibrate manually.

Always double-check accuracy by measuring a known dimension on the plan.

Versioning & Replacing Plans

Updating drawings without breaking downstream work

Upload a New Version

  • Open the existing plan set

  • Select Upload New Version

  • Upload the revised PDF

This replaces the drawing while preserving:
Locations, measurements, quantities, and schedules.

When to Version vs. Create a New Plan Set

Use Upload New Version when:

  • Changes are minor or iterative

  • You want to keep downstream data intact

Create a new plan set when:

  • There’s a major revision

  • The project moves to a new stage or issue set

Download Plan Sets

Downloading Your Plan Set

Option 1 — From the Plans Tab

  • Go to the Plans tab

  • Click the ⋮ vertical ellipsis on the plan set

  • Select Download Plan Set

  • The full set downloads as a PDF

Option 2 — From the Scope Tab

  • Go to the Scope tab

  • Open the Documents dropdown

  • Select Construction Set

  • The current version downloads immediately

Best Practices for Plan Management

  • Upload plans to the correct plan set type

  • Always use Upload New Version for revisions

  • Avoid duplicating plan sets unnecessarily

  • Name plan sets clearly and consistently

  • Confirm the active plan set before downstream work
