Alternatives can be added to Primary Items as well as Dependent Items (see Alternative Items for more on adding Alternatives to Primary Items).
To add Alternatives to Dependent Items, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Navigate to your Item IDs view of the schedule and select an item.
Step 2: Scroll to the bottom of the item details page and select your Dependent.
Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the Dependent detail page and click Add Alternative.
