The snippet tool is used to take a snapshot of a particular area on a plan. The snapshot is then stored in the Project Snippets folder in the Images tab of your Project. To use the snippet tool in Plans, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Navigate to the Plans tab and hover over a page. Click View to open the page.
Step 2: Zoom in to the area you'd like to grab your snapshot, either using your mouse or the zoom tool on the right.
Step 3: Grab the Snippet tool from your toolbar on the right.
Step 4: Click into the first corner of your snippet, drag your mouse, and then click again to complete the frame for your snippet. A preview will appear giving you the opportunity to name your snippet or retake it.
Step 5: To access your snippet, navigate to the Images tab of your Project, and select Project Snippets from the list on the left. This snippet is now available to pull into a Book for this Project.
