A Text Box is a grouping of text attributes (size, font, etc.) that is saved in the for easy access on any page of a book. To create a text box, follow the steps below:
Step 1: From within the Book Themes section of the Admin Console, select the Text tab from the menu on the left.
Note: You can also create a text box from within an individual project (shown in the video at the bottom of this article), but it will only be available in that book. To create a text book at the project level, you will want to choose the Elements tab on the left hand side of a book page.
Step 2: Click the blue + to create a new text box which you will be able to drag onto the canvas, or simply drag the Default option listed on the left hand side, onto your canvas.
Note: If you are working from within any theme other than a blank theme template, you should notice a list of pre-created text box options on the left hand side. You can drag any of these onto your canvas and begin typing in that text style.
Step 3: Click into the text on your canvas to make any edits you'd like applied. The menu that appears at the top will allow you to change font, size, color, etc.
Step 4: Once you've completed your changes, save the new text box by clicking the drop down with the existing text box name at the top of your screen. You will see an asterisk next to the text box you're editing, indicating that changes have been made.
Choose either Update if you want to update the existing text box with the recent changes, or click + Style if you would like to create a new text box with these changes.
Step 5: If you select Update, the changes will be reflected in the list of text box styles on the left hand side. If you select + Style, you will have the opportunity to name your new text box and click Create.
